Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) isthe flagship outcome-based skill training scheme of the new Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Under the scheme, monetary reward would be provided to trainees who are successfully trained, assessed and certified in skill courses.
The National Skill Development Corporation India (NSDC) aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions. It provides funding to build scalable, for-profit vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support systems such as quality assurance.
National Council For Vocational Training provide vocational training to school leavers, existing workers, ITI graduates, etc. to improve their employability by utilizing the infrastructure available in Govt., private institutions and the Industry. Existing skills of the persons can also be tested and certified under this scheme.
Gramodaya Nalanda Community College was established by Rashtrarishi Nanaji Deshmukh. Named after Mahatma Gandhi, this university aims at providing higher education mainly to people living in rural areas with emphasis on prepairing man power devoted to upliftment of poor and down-trodden.
MPCON Bhoj Study Center provides higher education mainly through open and distance learning. This university aims to spread and promote higher education among the underprivileged and has set up study centres in remote rural areas. It was was formed in 1991 under state legislature act.
An extensive career councellors training programmes will be held on may 6 at Bhopal. First time ever in the country, this training is being organized in wake of the career guidance to the students. A total of 4700 career councellors from different parts of the states will take an advantage of this training under this scheme.
Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance (CRISP), has been established in the year 1997 as a Society under the Indo –German Technical Cooperation agreement. Ministry of MSME, Government of India was the line ministry for this project whereas the Department of Technical Education & Skill Development.
